Terms of Service
Effective October 29, 2026 · BIMCityDrop
1. Who we are
bimcitydrop.com ("BIMCityDrop", "we", "us") is operated by BIMCityDrop, based in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Contact: support@bimcitydrop.com.
By creating an account, ordering a model or using the site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
BIMCityDrop is a software service. You draw an area on a map and our servers automatically generate a native Autodesk Revit file (.rvt) of that area: building walls, floors and roofs, terrain, streets and other context, using open data. Optional Premium extras add sheets, schedules, a sun study and rendered views. Files are delivered as downloads from your account; no person builds them by hand and nothing is shipped.
Models are generated from third-party open data (see section 6) and are approximations. They are not survey-grade, are not a legal record of property lines, and must not be relied on for construction, permitting, engineering or safety decisions without independent verification.
3. Accounts
You sign in with your email address. You are responsible for activity on your account. Student discounts and free tester access depend on a verified school email; misusing someone else's email is not allowed.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
4. Prices, payment and taxes
Prices are shown on the Pricing page and before you confirm each order. Small areas are free within the weekly limits shown on the site.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle charges any applicable sales tax or VAT and issues your invoice. We do not see or store your card or bank details.
Discount codes are single-use, tied to the account that received them, cannot be exchanged for cash, and apply only where stated (for example, city models only).
5. Subscriptions (monthly plans)
Monthly and yearly plans for firms (available from January 11, 2027) renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account or by emailing us; the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid and is not charged again.
Each plan includes the acres per billing period shown on the Pricing page. Unused acres do not roll over. Extra acres beyond the plan are charged as shown before you confirm. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before any price change to your plan.
6. Data sources and your license to the models
Building footprints, streets, parks and water come from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Terrain and heights may come from public LiDAR and elevation datasets (such as TxGIO StratMap and USGS 3DEP). Each model carries the required attribution; keep it when you share drawings or images made with it.
When an order is completed we grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use the model for your own projects, including academic and commercial design work, presentations and publications. You may not resell or redistribute the models themselves as a dataset or a competing product. The OpenStreetMap data inside the models stays available to you under the ODbL; nothing in these Terms limits your rights under that license.
Our software, templates, families, styles and site remain ours.
7. Acceptable use
Do not try to break, overload or scrape the service, get around the free limits with multiple accounts, or use it for anything illegal. We may limit or close accounts that do.
8. Availability and changes
The service depends on outside providers (map data, cloud Revit processing, hosting) and may sometimes be slow or unavailable. If a paid model fails to generate, we will run it again or refund it. We may change or discontinue features; paid orders already completed are not affected.
9. Refunds
See our Refund Policy: you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of a purchase.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service and the models are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer laws of your country give you rights that cannot be waived.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with its effective date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email.
